USES For the manufacturing of any cement-based structure such as mortar and concrete, whether conventional or structural, high-strength concrete, and polymer-based lightweight concrete.

WHO USES IT? Concrete producers, cement manufacturers, furniture, figurine, and concrete flooring manufacturers, as well as producers of prefabricated elements (blocks, beams, panels, pipes, bridge structures, culverts, etc.)

PACKAGING 1L bottle, 5L jug, and 20L drum

YIELD– 1 liter of additive covers 4 tons of cement.
– 5 liters of additive cover 20 tons of cement.
– 20 liters of additive cover 80 tons of cement.

SHAKE BEFORE USE

Since the additive is mixed in water, the containers should be well shaken before use. The recommended shaking before use is solely to ensure proper homogeneity of the product, as depending on conditions such as storage time, method, or environmental situations, sedimentation of the active material may occur.

Shaking does not require special equipment or devices. Simply manually shaking the original container in 1L, 5L, or 20L presentation for a couple of minutes is sufficient.

Ultrasonic dispersion or mixing can also be used if the user has the equipment. In this case, depending on the volume, ultrasonication time can vary from 5 to 30 minutes.

DOSAGE

Step 1: Once the additive has been properly shaken, the dosage requirements should be determined based on the dosage calculation:

Dosage Calculation:

Quantity per-kg of cement0.25 – 1.0 ml
Quantity per-lb of cement0.008 – 0.033 oz.

Step 2: Disperse the required volume of Graphenergy Construction in 100 to 1000 ml of the water needed for the concrete or mortar mixture.

Step 3: Prepare the mixture conventionally according to your specifications, considering water, aggregates, cement, and other additives used in the concrete or mortar design.

Step 4: Once the concrete or mortar mixture is prepared and hydrated, in the final mixing stage, incorporate the water with the pre-diluted additive and mix thoroughly for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Note:
The dosage calculation was made based on standard designs and should be considered as a reference only. It is essential to note that the performance of the additive may vary depending on the concrete design, aggregate quality, cement type, use of other additives, and proper mixture homogenization. It is the user’s responsibility to conduct relevant tests with the additive to determine its suitability and correct dosage before final application.

  1. What is graphene and how does it improve concrete?
Graphene is a two-dimensional nanometric material composed of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal structure. Graphene has unique properties, such as high mechanical strength and excellent thermal conductivity, which make it ideal for improving concrete.
  2. What are the advantages of using graphene additives in concrete?
Our graphene concrete additive improves the mechanical strength of concrete by increasing its durability and lifespan. It reduces the permeability of concrete and improves its resistance to corrosion, thus protecting the concrete structure from the negative effects of the environment, such as chloride penetration or reinforcement steel corrosion. It increases toughness and ductility, which can result in a higher energy absorption capacity and greater resistance to cracking. It also reduces cracking due to shrinkage, improving the durability and aesthetic appearance of concrete. We invite you to consult the product technical sheet as well as its safety data sheet. If you have any questions, you can contact us and our experts will provide you with specialized advice.
  3. Can I use the Graphenergy Construcción® graphene additive in any type of concrete?
Our graphene concrete additive can be used in different types of concrete. However, it is important to note that the dosage and mixing process may vary depending on the type of concrete and the specific objectives to be achieved. Our team of experts is willing to advise you and answer any questions you may have about the application of our product in your next construction project. Do not hesitate to contact us.
  4. Where can I purchase the Graphenergy Construcción® graphene concrete additive and who can install it on my site?
You can purchase our graphene concrete additive through our official website. Our advisors will provide you with detailed information about our product, as well as purchase options.
  5. What is the increase in the percentage of strength obtained when using the Graphenergy Construcción® graphene concrete additive?
With Graphenergy Construcción®, increases of up to 20% in strength have been achieved, however, these results may vary depending on the quality of the aggregates (gravel, sand, powders and/or aggregates), the type of cement or mortar, the homogenization of the mixture, use of other additives, and concrete design. Therefore, we recommend performing the relevant tests with the product to determine its suitability and correct dosage before final application.
  6. Where can I consult the studies that support the capabilities of the Graphenergy Construcción® graphene concrete additive?
You can review the results of our research, as well as usage recommendations on our website www.graphenemex.com, you can also request more information at the email [email protected], you can also contact us via WhatsApp at the number +52 1 55 8172 1721.
  7. Can it be used with other concrete additives?
Graphenergy Construcción is a water-based additive and does not usually negatively interfere with the performance of other additives, except for set-accelerating additives, as Graphenergy Construcción also acts as an accelerator. Our additive does not replace the properties of plasticizing or superplasticizing additives, therefore, their joint use is recommended if the concrete design requires it. In cases where Graphenergy is used as the sole additive or in combination with other additives and residence times in the range of 40-60 minutes are required, the use of a retardant additive may be required.
  8. With what type of additives does it show greater compatibility?
The wide variety of additives on the market makes it difficult to know which ones our additive shows greater compatibility with. However, we have obtained good performance with all the additives evaluated internally, as well as thanks to the information kindly provided by our customers. We suggest that each user perform the relevant tests without modifying the original design conditions. Our advisors can accompany you in this process.
  9. Would you advise us on the use of the additive, performing tests, as well as concrete design?
Energeia Graphenemex is committed to the proper use of its products, so our technical team will provide support during the initial application process or when required.
  10. How long should the additive be stirred and what type of agitation should be given?
The recommended agitation prior to use is only to ensure the correct homogeneity of the product since depending on conditions such as time and storage form or even environmental situations, some sedimentation of the active material could be promoted. Agitation does not require special equipment or devices, that is, simple manual agitation of the original container in 1, 5, or 20 L presentations for a couple of minutes is sufficient.
In case larger volumes are handled or, conversely, the storage time is prolonged before using the product, mechanical agitation with propellers or industrial mixers at approximately 500 rpm is suggested.
Ultrasonic dispersion or mixing can also be used if the user has the equipment, in this situation, and depending on the volume, the ultrasonication time can vary from 5 to 30 minutes
